Welcome to Mayall Road!

We are a street of approximately 200 residences and 150 children. Every year we celebrate our children with a street party in which everyone can participate and feel proud of their neighbourhood. Throughout the year there clubs, street cinemas, baby groups and much more, all of which is posted on this site and our mailing list. Come join us a this year's street party or wander down and take in Mayall Road's good vibes.

Sad news for the street…

Some very sad news for the street, 144 Mayall Road (Startx and friends) have been served a eviction notice, the date is yet to be confirmed. This will be a major blow to the street and Startx has told me that they will fight this and have asked for some support from the street.  With this in mind I am suggesting that Monday’s Street Party Meeting be held at 144 Mayall Road 8pm. After the meeting would be a good time for those there to discuss with Startx what the plan of attack will be. Please try and turn up to this meeting and see what we can all do to support their cause.
We are a community now and we have somehow found ourselves living on the same street. Whether that’s a good thing or bad thing, you be the judge. We all encounter many different things along the way, some good, some not and some really horrendous. When things get heavy and you need support, understand that this community will try and do all it can to help you out. Sorry if I speak like I represent you all, I don’t but what I’m really saying is that I will do all I can to help and I know there are plenty others who will do the same.
Many hands make light work and many hearts will overcome any barriers.

Hi everyone
A couple of things.
The Railton Road Methodist Church have agreed for us to put a notice board up on the back wall which is on Mayall Road. I will try and purchase a notice board in the next few days, if anyone knows a way we can get one cheaply or better still, for free please let me know. Many thanks to Rev, Cameron Kirwood for moving that forward.

Someone from BBC London News rang today to follow up on the story in the South London Press about Mayall Road being the friendliest street in South London. She wanted to bring a film crew to cover some of things going on in the street. I will let her know about the meeting on Monday and maybe we could have some very big coverage about this story.
