I need to go back to the following to see what they can do

Hardware store, Electric shop opp Sainsbury, Bakery next to Butchers, Barnet Ware and Graves estate agent and the sports shop. Brockwell Lido, Lido Café, Kaya, Myla and Davies, Blackbird Bakery, Pullens, Sesami, Commercial, Florence, Prince Regent, Upstairs on Acre Lane. There are some positive signs there and hopefully something will come of it.

There will be a meeting tonight 8pm at my house 233 Mayall Road at 8pm. I will probably be the last one before the party so if you are free please come along.

Everything seems to falling into place but a lot of work still needs to be done.

One more week before the big event!

1. Food

- total budget of £400

- ok for volunteers for prep (veggies skewers and fruit salads)

- Helen has spoken to Michael’s butcher

-chicken and sausages

-pork will be cooked on a separate bbq and not after 8pm

- Helen has spoken to a veggie stall in brixton for wholesale pricing

-300 veggie skewers planned

- linda McKartney sausages

- halloumi cheese

- falafels

- pitta’s + buns

- charcoal needed

- sweets for children

- Helen will do an e-mail asking for volunteers to do b-b-q’s

2. Volunteers

- People who have offered to sell raffle tickets

4. Parking

-no formal arrangements this year

-everyone should park in the streets around Mayall road

5. Raffle prizes

-Helen has drafted 3 documents to take to businesses

-Rob to speak to Pete Gibbons to get artwork for documents

-Peter McCreath (166) will approach businesses who have verbally agreed to provide the prizes

6. Budget

-Approximately £800 raised so far

-Raffle and donations on the day will supplement budget

7. Events

-Stage to be set up outside church

-Alex sorting races

-Jane @ 131 doing science experiments with the kids

-bouncy castle for small kids at upper end of mayall

-need confirm event down at bob marley way

-need someone to provide electricity for the stage and other events

8. Decoration & bunting

-need some gazeebos for sound system in case of rain

-tables & chairs?

-Paul K. has bunting sorted and will organise setup

broccoli (steam 2 large handfuls & chop smaller), anchovies (1 or 2 jars) heat till they form brown mush & add to wholemeal pasta shells (2 handfuls). Mix all together & throw in toasted sunflower seeds. Feeds 2-4 depending on appetite!
